Why are we Green?
Green Repair Now believes in a proactive stance towards the environment. We are a regional group of Auto Body shops and suppliers who feel it is our duty to do our part as socially responsible businesses to help reduce the V.O.C. emissions in our work and communities. In 2008 Southern Auto Body Supply began to offer PPG's Envirobase® High Performance. Envirobase and other environmentally friendly auto paints are waterborne, so producing less volatile organic compounds (often called VOCs) than traditional solvent based coatings.
Although U.S. federal mandates pertinent to waterborne paints were limited to a few counties in Southern California, we know that you want to be able to choose an environmentally friendly solution whenever you can. Remember that insurance companies must give you the choice of where to get your vehicle repaired, so why not go for a company that uses products that are the best possible toward the environment? After all, the results are great for your car and your life.
In addition to being environmentally friendly, Envirobase offers excellent color match as most of today’s automobile manufacturers utilize this technology during assembly. We have forged partnerships with several body shops in the area that now spray waterborne basecoat exclusively. The emissions saved during the coatings process as a result of this technology are equivalent to taking thousands of automobiles off our roadways.
